coolant system problems
#11
That's the wierd thing one was warm and one cold not freezing but cool. So I took the lines off coming out the firewall before they go to the metal pipe and one was full and the other had air in it. So u flushed it with a hose and the water went through without seeming like it was clogged. But I opened the bleeder behing the tstat and coolant came pouring out so I immediately closed it right up before I opened the lines for the heater core. That blessed is right next to the lines for the core so I would imagine if thew is coolant there there should be in the line when it's closed and running. But at this point I'm questioning my sanity so feel welcome to make any suggestions.

I'm willing to bet there is air in the system that's doing you wrong. I had to bleed my system several times to get a lot of air out... top it off, close it, bleedout air, close it, wait till it's warm, rev it up, bleed out more air and repeat. and I only used the bleeder on top near the cap.

here is this post https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen-durango/105954-what-is-the-proper-way-to-burp-the-4-7-cooling-system.html
it's not the one I was looking for, but it gives you an idea.

basically fill it up, start it, wait for it to warm up, close the cap, rev it for a few minutes to circulate the coolant, open the bleeder by the cap, close bleeder when air has been removed, rev for a minute, open bleeder, close bleeder when air is gone... repeat until no more air is coming out.

Tryed it. Got some air out but still doing the same thing and still no heat. I have a feeling the water pump might have went again but it's not leaking. I'm going to try one last time to burp it on my dads street cuz it's a hill. Hopefully that'll push the air to the front. And see what happens after that. I'll keep u posted.

if that doesn't work, I don't know what else it could be besides the water pump ( which you replaced) and maybe ( not sure on this at all) a blend door that your temperature sliders might control. those would be possible solutions to your interior heat ( as long as it isn't frozen solid). as for engine temp, there is the water pump again, radiator flush, t-stat.... I'm kinda out of ideas myself.
