On my 99 Durango I have two 12 volt outlets. When I plug something into either of them in blow my fuse every time. What could it be. Is it one of the outlets that could have a short? Please help me. I have four Lil ones and when we go on road trips I like to plug in our portable DVD players for them to watch.

 

Is it the same thing that blows the fuses when you plug it in?

 

No it does not matter what it is that I plug in. Blows instantly. Melts it.

 

Check in the socket and make sure there isn't something in there shorting it out. Since it only blows when you plug something in, the issue's most likely going to be the socket itself or what you're plugging into it.
