2002 Durango,Repeatedly recieving wrong part
I have an '02 Durango, with a bad control module (PCM)? and I have ordered a new one three times now. Each time I have received the wrong part. I didn't buy the vehicle new, but it was pretty new when I got it. The car currently has a module with 4 plugs, but the part they keep sending me has 3. I have done some research on known issues with this model and am aware that the CM is a common issue and furthermore, with the '02s, most of them bit the dust within the first year or two, so I am thinking maybe it was replaced before I bought the car?? In order to replace it with a different part they would have had to re-wire everything though, right? I have no idea what to order for replacement. Any help would be appreciated!

Did you give them the trucks VIN # every time you ordered?? they need this for 2 reasons.. the first is to get you the correct part and second to program the PCM. There are a lot of salvage yards out there (esp on Ebay) that are just out there to sell you a part. In there eyes if it came out of a durango it will work in a durango regardless of what year it is.. If you have 4 plugs into the PCM them you need one that has 4 plugs and the VIN should tell them that.
Every time i or a family/friend has needed to replace a PCM i got them from All Computer Resources. The came programed with a lifetime warrenty with not issues.
