Angry So, I put a new ABS rear speed sensor in...

...& my abs & brake light are still on...I "guess" questions are...lol

Can I pull the plug on the sensor & test that it DOES have power going to it w/my DMM? The brakes are SO sensitive, their still locking up on snow/ice....their good brakes, Too good though...lol....which leads me to....

I crawled under the front end to see if there was anything telling me 2 or 4 wheel abs. Now, I`m gonna admit, I`m a dumb A$$ shadetree mechanic & this is my first 4x4! So I~ve not been down this road. After REreading....naw, I`m not that dumb, BUT, shadetree LMAO!!!

Ok, so I read a thread where "Someone"(don`t remember whom).was able to take the last 8 charchters of the vin....& that told`em more info about the vehicle. I`d SURE appreciate...He!! All info!!!

...Last 8 chars are WF153549

`98 5.2 `rango

Once again, `Preciate any & ALL info/advice.....GAS(Gilbert)

You can check the wheel speed sensors unplugged across the terminals with your multimeter.
The resistance should be:

4X4 front sensors 893-1208 ohms
4X2 front sensors 1800-2200 ohms
all rear sensors 1600-2300 ohms
