Default R/T out the Gate...

Hello, fellow dodge owners I am new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself and more importantly my vechicle. My name is Samuel and I own a 2000 dodge durango R/T V-8 magnum 5.9 liter engine aka The grim reaper. I bought used with 120,000 + miles and with the help of the dodge community I hope to keep it running for another 100k.

Welcome fellow R/T owner. The thing I can't figure out though is why some idiot would sell his R/T? (I bought mine new.)

Hopefully in good shape, 120k is pretty good miles I think for a 2000. My 2000 had 135k when I got it last Feb.

To JeeperDOn i completely understand, fell in love with it the minute I turned that key. To appelH it is in good shape inside is flawless. I had a little leak in the trans gasket but that was an easy fix. I have ran into a little problem with my belt chirpping, I just replaced the tension pulley and it stopped for a min. then did it again. I can grease it stop it temporarily but I am looking for a permenant fix any suggestions?

Welcome and let's see some pics!

I had a chirping belt that wouldn't go away for the longest time. What ended up fixing it was getting a goodyear gatorback belt.

I couldn't help you there, I actually have the same problem but it hasn't bothered me enough so far to try and deal with it.

I replaced the idler pulley and put on a new belt. It sounds much better now. Next project is going to be a 3 inch lift any great ideas?
