Default type of oil and changes

I was wondering what type of oil you guys use (and filter) and how often? I use mostly 5w30 Mobil and mopar filter or wix. Last time used Castrol blend and just changed it today with Mobil high milage mostly close to 5000 miles. I am trying to do better though just comes to soon

Royal purple 10w30, and every 3k to 4k miles... I know I could stretch it much further, but at 3k miles it looks like it ran for maybe 500 miles... barely getting dark! Also normally use stp filter, but recently changed to bosch high volume filter.

I've used Castrol in all my family's vehicles for 50 years. I use the dark green hign mileage version in my D now, 101,000 miles. I use Wix filters, which is rated as the best filter in many tests, and pretty high in the others. For my mental health (eg, easy to remember), I change oil every 3,333 miles (xx0,000, xx3,333, xx6,666)

I don't drive my durango so I guess 500 miles between changes? 5/30 and unknown what filter. Changed at local fleet center every 6 months.

Used to run wolfs head 10w30, but since being in sc I use castrol gtx high milage part synthetic 10w30 with a mopar filter. I change my oil between 3,000 and 3,500 miles (waiting for it to line up with don's scheme and then I'm going to start doing that).

i ran shell conventional 10w30 in mine w/ a purolator filter, and i changed mine every 5k miles, have the oil analysis to show (from one change where life got in the way) that 6800 miles is well within the realm of what dino oil can safely run.

Interesting how most of you change your oil so soon. The manual recommends 7,500 miles for the 4.7/5.9

It's just habit for me. I grew up working on old cars with my dad and grandpaps and that was how often you changed oil with them.

I would think that is too many miles with a motor that is suppose to have a oil sludge problem. I have a 2001 with a 4.7 and was changing it every 5ooo miles(try to). I am/was using Mobil and reads to change 5000 miles
