Time to get hitched!

A couple years ago my mom had to pay close to 10k back..and I remember my brother talking about how he could work a little less hours, drop into the lower tax bracket, and still come out better when it was all said and done. Thats when you know there is something wrong with out tax system.

Figure that if you are single then you will have more money but I guess I am wrong. Yeah the tax system is so messed up.

I put half my salary in my savings and I live well.

I'd much rather pay taxes over being unemployed or living paycheck to paycheck. I was unemployed for 14 months. Then my ex and I lived paycheck to paycheck for about 1.5 years. Paying taxes suck but flip side it's much better than those 32 months..

Nothing like having to live frugally to teach you to be smart with money.

My salary isn't much but I try to put some in savings as I go. Most of the taxes that I got screwed this year was the fund loans from college that I took out

You should be able to use student loans to your advantage as a deduction...

The people at the taxes place that did mine that because I took the student loans from DVR. I graduated from college 2 years ago and I defaulted on paying the loans because I didn't have a job until this summer. They found out that I have a job and haven't make payments to the loans. Lucky they told me now this year or if I waited until next year then the debt would of been maybe $10,000-$20,000.
