truck dead. Won't take a jump, not making any sort of clicking sounds.

I always use caterpillar batteries. Had the best luck with them and 6yr warantee.

Check the alternator as well. Make sure it is charging the battery. Your voltage should go up when the motor is started if you test it with the multimeter. Or autozone/advance will do it for free.

If the new battery does not turn over your engine, check for the big AMP FUSE located in the fuse box under the hood. I seen reports from our users that this fuse can get blown on the 99 Durangos for some reason.
