Default Water drivers side floorboard

Hey all. I have a small amount if water puddling on the plastic mat part of the drivers side floorboard. Appears to be coming from under the center hump. Possible when air condition on. Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

Ok, I have an update. I pulled the seats and carpet and found a large puddle of water under the drivers side and a fair amount of water under the passenger side. We had an uncharacteristic couple of snow falls in my area over the last month and about 8-10 inches of snow accumulated on the roof of my 2003 Durango. Is it reasonable to assume the water is from the snow melting? My plan is to dry out the carpet and reinstall but dont want to have to go through this again. My car sits outside all the time in the rain and have never had an issue. Is there something I can check for leaks while the carpet/seats are pulled?

Thanks,
Dan

I had the same issue. After heavy rain..

I simply drilled a hole and placed a rubber mat under the carpet so the water would run under the rubber mat to the lowest point where the hole is and drip out. I never cared to find the source of the inlet....

If its just water its probably from a leaking seal somewhere. If its antifreeze its probably a leaking heater core.

Brilliant idea. Anyway you could identify the location of your hole in the pics. I have looked and think I know but I am not sure. Why recreate the wheel if you have a spot that works.

Thanks,
Dan

Sounds like heater core. Good news is they're cheap. Bad news they're not fun to change.

Usually a bad window seal or cowl seal.

I am about to give up. Today I pulled the seats, carpet and dash. Pulled the dash this time hoping to see water coming from somewhere behind the dash and nothing. Ran water all over the car and could find a leak. Also couldn't find a leak while running the heater or the air conditioner.

I guess I will standby hoping someone figures this out.

Thanks,
Dan
