Default Transfer case help

I have a 01 Durango with a 233 transfer case. It's making a clicking/popping noise. I think I found where it's coming from but seeing as how I know next to nothing about 4 WD I need some help. It seems to be where the front driveline bolts up to some sort of a coupler (I said I'm pretty dumb when it comes to 4 WD) I've attached pics of it to help explain. What I'm wondering is if it's replaceable. The front part looks like it bolts on. Any help would be welcomed.

That was it! Unbeknownst to me there's a CV joint on the front drive shaft at the transfer case. I ordered one from rock auto for $89.79. Parts house wanted $154.00 for the same Dorman part number.
