Default caliper bolt size

I am trying to change brake pads on the front. I do not have anything that will turn them. I have those star/hex tools shaped like a "L" . I bought some sockets star/hex and they are too small and big. The size i got is 7 mm,T 30 and 40. What size do i need and thanks

I think my 02 Durango was T40.

Full of rust? Clean 'em out and tap in that 40.

I am so sorry, need to retract.

It's T45 not T40 as stated earlier.

I had it looked at. The left side is 1/4 inch allen both top and bottom. The right side is different and both top and bottom are different size. Think it is T40 and a 7MM. The sizes are in the car when i wrote it down. Thanks

The "L" shaped tool with a hex head is an Allen Wrench, and the correct size is 7mm, and its NOT a Torx head or T40... that may work, but its the incorrect tool.
Hope that helps.
