Default Replacing front Wheel Bearing question.

Does the nut that holds the CV shaft to the hub have to be torqued to a specific torque?

The hub nut should be tightened to 180 ft. lbs.

Yes torque it specific or your wheel bearing won't last. I put one on by feel and the bearing went out within a year. Got a new one torqued it and its been 2 years no issues so far. That was on my Dakota but its the same setup. My guess is it messes with the preload of the bearing.
