Default Bouncy Metal Sound?

Hey Guys,
On my wifes 03 Durango, we hear a very loud loose metal sound over every bump in the road. The bigger the bump, the louder the sound. Heres the strange part... Ive been over just about every bolt you can get to on that side of the truck!

Its only coming from the passenger side, and its a light metal (like sheet metal) tangy, shaking, sound only get it with bumps. (Speed bumps, pot holes, dirt bumps, etc.) Smooth driving is no sound.

Ive recently replaced hubs, done a brake job, checked arms, bushings, tie rods, etc. Everything is tight, and good.

Is there something Im missing? Any help would be great! Thanks guys!

Checked them... all are good. Tapping on them didnt make the same sound either... its very weird. I wish I had a way to record it and share...

Trying to think of something that relates to the noise.... its like a few bolts in a soda can, only with a higher pitch. Like a sharp metal ting, rattles, then stops as soon as we are over the bump.

The best I can describe is... bump, (sounds), gone. Unless we hit alot of bumps. lol... like I said its weird. But its driving me insane trying to figure it out.

I think it might be the hard brake line on the upper A arm. Any thoughts?

It could be the upper control arm bushings or you could have lost a bump stop. First check the bump stop, people have a habit of lowering the torsion bars out of minimum height range to get the alignment adjusted instead of doing it right. Check into this thread for height or check the manual. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...ment-woes.html

You can always have it "checked" for alignment and have them shake it down real good see if they can spot anything.

I can see the bump stops. I don't think I have torsion bars, have coil springs in the front end.

Also where the a arm bushings are I can see shims. So they must still be tight? I just replaced both hubs so I know those are good.

So you do not have access to a digital camera or camera phone that you can take video of and post on YouTube?

Maybe post some photos of your front end with the tire removed.

maybe you need to check the "tightness" of everything again? I wonder if there is a brake shoe giving you issues?

I don't remember being asked to post pictures, or saying I don't have access to a camera... I will post some later now. I will also go over everything again too. Thanks.

The front end is a little bouncy now that you mention it. Truck shakes a lot like unbalanced tires. Yet I just had them all balanced.

Could the sound be from a loose or bad shock?

It's not that cat... That's solid.

Anyone else think shocks?
