If it still has the problem on Classic Rock stations, I'd relax my brain and just get the wheel/tires balances at a shop. Let them tell you whats bad.

And the quote of the year award goes to.... Don!

I just got my durango back from a shop. They said the tires were slightly out of balance and that was what was causing my shake, vibration or what ever. They also said that my tires are aggressive and that could be causing it which i kinda think is a stretch as they are Uniroyal Liberator A/T . Prior to dropping my vehicles off at any shop i reset the trip and then move the display back to original mileage so I get get a guage of how much time they spent driving my vehicle. In this case the trip was 0.0. Seeing that I was kinda pissed but thought hell they may have fixed it. While driving home it did seem a bit better, however is still there. Could the tires I have really be causing a shake seen in the video above? I tried to test the u joints however they seem fine.. Looks like it might be time to find a new shop. sigh..

There's a possibility that there could be a broken belt or something in one of the tires. If you have a spare tire switch it out with the other wheels one by one and see if it goes away.

What would you suggest upgrading too? I spent almost 800 on these less then a year or two ago. I didn't realize they were junk, I had uniroyals last a very long time on my s10, which is why I bought these. Good to hear someone has a similar issue though

Here's tirerack's current lineup of the best a/t tires. I just got a set of Firestone Destination A/Ts myself and am very happy with them so far.

I'm not saying Uniroyal is bad, but the Liberator was a Walmart designed tire. That specific tire was a heap of smelly fecal material.

As for Kumho, I've bought 3 sets of those POS tires and got 13k or less out of them in my car. Switched back over to Falken ZIEX 65 series after the tread re-design and I've had great success at least with their car tires and will never look back!

As for the best tire......Hmmmmmm......Well that is up to the buyer and what he/she wants and needs. For me, and I like to do it all, I would go hands down to some BFG KO's series. However there are a few others out there with triple side wall designs. Michelin are still a great tire as well, just depends what your looking for.

So while washing the durango this weekened I noticed a bubble on the side wall of the drivers tire. I took it to walmart to find out they no longer carry those type of tires. They asked if it would be ok to but on a single firestone. I told them no as I did not want the tires to be mismatched. I call up uniroyal who is having me go to a certified shop to have the tire inspected. After that they will figure out what to do. Here is a pic, very hard to see the bump but you can feel it with your hand.
