Alpine ktp 445u power pack
Hey guys
I bought a new Kenwood stereo this weekend at Best Buy and picked up one of those Alpine power packs to help push some new Infinity speakers I installed a while back. The power Pack was an open box unit. I installedit and the system sounded like crap. No bass, tinny as hell. I removed the power pack and rewired the stereo without it and it sounds fine (like it should anyway) My question is, have any of you put one of these in your Durango? Wondering if the factory amp is causing some kind of problem with the power pack which was wired between the head unit and the factory amp. Or maybe I just bought a defective one. What do you think?

No, I can't say that I have had that problem. But if the vehicle came with a factory amp, it could. I love buying at best buy. The last stereo that was installed in my car was installed by best buy. I know I could have done it, but the wife would have been pissed if I burn the car down. I would check with radio installer at best buy and pick their brain.
