I have a 2001 dodge durango with the 4.7 and when I start it sometimes it smokes quite a bit of oil and it does the same on accelaration and it's burned about a quart in 2 and a half weeks or so. Any help will help out!

 

smoke on start-up is usually valve guide seals. Do a compression test see if the rings are sealing
