Engine misfiring, knocking
Hey guys, I have a 2001 Durango, 4.7l v8, 4x4. It started misfiring the other day. One moment it was fine, then I stopped went to the store, started it back up and it's now misfiring and knocking. Here's a video I uploaded of it running.
This is just at Idle, but the sound continues as I drive. All my spark plugs are sparking, but there is a faint smell of gasoline. After looking underneath I found this:
This is between the left head and the block, which makes me think it could be a bad head gasket, however the sound seems to come from the right side. There doesn't seem to be any coolant in the oil, and I can't really check my coolant as it's leaked out from the left side. Also, it's spitting liquid (water, I think) from the tail pipe. Any help would be much appreciated.

do a cylinder leakdown test. Do you have any lights on on the dash? That picture looks like a valve cover leak to me, and it's been like that a while, if it was coolant the block would be clean (plus goes up higher than the gasket surface). I don't like the sound of the knock, but without checking it out can't say where it's coming from
