I tried painting on junk piece that I found at the junkyard and it didn't turned out too well. Glad I know now before I even try on the new scoops. I might just leave it black for now until I get enough money to have the Durango repaint because of rusts and couple dents on it.

Its not to hard you get some wet dry sand paper and sand in between coats and sand the uneven parts down using water to keep from clogging the grit up on the sandpaper. Then let it dry and keep coating and sanding until you get the paint looking so pefect while it is wet this is how the clear coat will make it look also the clear coat will magnify the imperfections. Thus the reason for 1000 grit paper to remove all imperfections. I use a garden hose while I do this. Constant water to flush the paper while you sand work out the imperfections. Practice more you will get it. There is youtube videos as well to help. Practice you will shock yourself it can come out very good with little work.

Ok I will keep practicing more on the junk scoops then when it turn out good then I will do the new scoops. I might have to get the paint from online on http://www.automotivetouchup.com/ to get spray can of pb7. Napa called back this morning and said it might be awhile to get the paint or go to Dodge Dealership to get some but I think dealership will be expensive.

Use that company I use. >> http://www.imatchpaint.com/

You will not be sorry. Their stuff is legit. Read about the type of paint and the clear coat. The stuff is a bit on the pricey side, but it is well worth it imo. Supperb quality over automotivetouchup (I've used them before).

I found a paint place by my house that can mix the paint for me. Got one can of paint, primer, and clear today so I can do the hood scoops tonight.

Hard to tell by the pic but make sure you put enough clear coat to match your durango. Looks like your doing well.

My friend had to take over and paint it. I must not be a good painter I really don't care for the look of the scoops but it will have to do it for now. I want to get a cowl hood or something with steel not fiberglass hood. Got it on the hood now but it isn't the greatest look. The good thing is the side window deflectors came in so I put them on too here are the pictures.
