Default engine wont start

I recently replaced my 05 dodge Durango 4.7 engine with a ram 1500 4.7, now the Durango starter wont turn the engine over. I have replaced the starter. I am asking for ideas on what I might be overlooking. by the way I also tried a dodge ram starter it wont bolt up.

Need a wee bit more detail. Is power getting to the starter? Is it clicking? Battery good?

yes the starter is clicking but doesn't seem to turn the flywheel with enough power to spin the engine and the battery is good and replaced starter twice

Has it ever been turned over since you put it in? Did you you try to rotate the crank or flywheel before you put it in? If you got the motor from a boneyard, they might have a plug or stop installed somewhere for shipping purposes.

^^ That or a bad connection somewhere would be my guess. Unless the flywheel teeth are different or something. You'll probably find more help in the 2nd gen Durango section though.
