Default blowing fuses

Replaced directional and brake light fuses.
Hazard lights flashed quickly then blew fuse.
Brake fuse blew as soon as pedal depressed.
Obviously a short but is there a usual list of spots to start with ?
There is trailer wiring from the factory.
Thanks in advance for any help

Try disconnecting the tail lights and see if the fuse still blows.

the trailer wiring is the first place that i would start looking for that, get a multimeter with continuity test and start probing wires.

I'd look at the metal contacts that the bulb holders connect to.
