Replaced iac, cleaned throttle body, new battery, new terminal connectors.engine will idle perfect and no check engine light, when engine is warmed up take it for a drive and check engine light comes on, then it will idle a little high. Suspended insurance almost a year ago due to this issue, have read every thread I could find and symptoms always seem different from mine. This is driving me nuts! I want my rig back.

 

You need to hook up a scan tool and pull the code your D is throwing to light the service light in the first place.

 

It's been the same code-p0505, IAC code. Sometimes it's there when I start the engine sometimes its not, it always pops on after driving for a bit.

 

Go to a junk yard and pull a new Throttle Body, clean it and install. Sounds like you have an air leak somewhere. Remember to use a new gasket. Check all your vacuum lines as well for cracks.
