Default Muffler Options

So I have a series 70 Flowmaster (triple chamber) on my truck at the moment and it is reaching the end of it's lifespan.

So I would like to replace it and I'm wondering if there might be a better choice than going with another series 70?
I don't like it loud and the 70 I think has been a perfect fit.
It also made the truck run much better than the cherry-bomb that someone had put on there before me.
Lots of noise and no power, I hated it!

Now this muffler has lasted just over 4 years and I'm not sure if that is good or if it should have lasted longer.
Living in Michigan with road salt during the winter months I'm sure has been a factor.

I found a replacement for about $120 not including shipping but I haven't looked for prices at any of the local shops yet.
If I can find the parts I want I may just do it myself in the driveway.

Looking for input.

Thanks,

Radar

If you liked the way that one sounded, replace it with the same thing. See if they offfer a stainless version that will last longer.

Thanks for the info.

I find it funny that the description on the stainless model still states aluminized steel.
I think they just copied it over from the other muffler without doing any editing.
