Default Why do my new shocks squeak?

I installed Monroe Reflex shocks a few months ago. I didn't notice it right away, but eventually noticed a squeak coming from somewhere. Making a left turn, going over bumps, etc. It definitely seems to be coming from the right front shock. I couldn't duplicate it on the other three shocks. The installation of these are pretty straight forward, so any idea what could make it squeak like this? Over torqued?

Thanks!

Nevermind.. I crawled under there and had someone bounce the car for me. Turns out the squeak is actually coming from one of the swing arm joints. I just assumed since I was monkeying with the shocks that I must have done something wrong.

Hit all the bushings (4 control arm, 6 sway bar, 8 shock, 6 leaf) with a good soak of WD-40, then do it again in a year when it may start to squeak again.

i would suggest against wd-40, its a solvent meant for cleaning, its not a lubricant, id use something designed for use outdoors as a weatherresistant lubricant (i like silicone based spray lubes myself)

I agree, but it was on the shelf. I first used it to just see what was making the noise, but the stuff lasted a year. Do you have a silicone spray brand you like? It wouldn't be a bad idea to have it on my shelf next time.
