electric ac cooling fan removal
hey guys its me again and my question for today is seeing as i have done a complete a/c delete im wondering if i can remove my electric fan now that i have no a/c and not worry about it over heating? also this is only temporary as im going to be doing the taurus fan conversion soon and removing the mechanical fan all together. my motor is the 4.7l on my 03 durango. thanks
Have u done ur e-fan swap yet? Will be doing mine real soon and am wondering what or where I can hook up the ignition wire for the relay to power up the Volvo relays. Not wanting an ignition source that leads anywhere back to a module and or computer.
Any help on this at all would be appreciated.

The auxiliary e-fan is just that, auxiliary so you will be ok without it under normal circumstances.
I think I got my ignition on signal from one of the relays under the hood in the PDC.

I'm aware of the PDC usage. Just being around trying to get the axact wire to hook up to. No one has any idea which one to utilize on ALL the forums I've traveled to. My ideal one would be the one wire that does not revert back to any and all modules especially the ECM. Kinda like lone wolf wire from the ignition switch/PDC. Anyone have any ideas on this?
im actually in the same boat as im not sure what wire im going to use as my relay switch wire but probably any ignition on wire should work as you dont need much current to open a relay switch i do believe and as long as you just use the ignition on as the switch wire then it shouldnt fry the pcm or modules ever. the main fan power cant run off those wires though and should be switched straight to the battery. unless someone else has a better idea of how it should be routed?
i think that is what ill do as i deleted my a/c system all together so the relay isnt even used anymore. the only thing im wondering is if the a/c relay switch power is turned on when the a/c is turned on or if it has an ignition on power wire going to it?
