Strange one...My 1998 Durango left me stranded at an intersection. It stalled and would not start. It would crank, has gas, had it towed home. Cleaned battery, checked wiring, Went and got scan tool but when I cleaned battery probably lost codes. When I connected scanner, no codes, but tried to start and VAROOOM it started right up. Disconnected tool and car died. Hummmm....COULD there be a short or ground problem in this circuit that would allow the scanner tool to allow the car to start ??? Thanks for any help on how to track this down.
