So you bought a vehicle with a known no start problem and don't know where to start....hmmm. Do some basic troubleshooting. How's the battery, does it turn over? Have you checked all the connections? Wiring? Fuses? Without knowing the background, was this vehicle sitting in a field somewhere? Maybe critters got into it and ate up the wiring? Probably a PCM issue. Need more information.

x2 its probably a bad pcm, start checking voltage to any of your sensors, you should have 5v with the key on..

you need to check for codes. post them if any are set. there may not be any if the entire bus line is down.
if none, you need to check the bus voltages at the dlc connector. pin 3 is the CAN + line and pin 11 is the CAN - line. this will tell you if the bus line is open, shorted to grd/power or shorted to each other. i'll get back with the voltages you should see.

you should also check the terminating resistance. disconnect the battery and put your ohmmeter across pin 3 and 11. you should get approx. 60 ohms. if you get 120 the bus line is open, if you get 0 ohms the bus line is shorted.

alternatively, you can just start unplugging modules one at a time from the hub(the common connection point) and if the network comes back, the unplugged module or branch is the fault.
