Unhappy 98 transmission extension housing HELP

Hi I have 1998 dodge Durango slt 5.2L 4x4. The transmission extension housing is cracked all the way around it. It was caused by the drive shaft universal joint coming off and hitting the ground. It has a part# on it 19104A My question is. I found one but the number on it says 19104AF will It work for my transmission?

The two letters at the end of Chrysler part numbers only indicate the manufacturer of the part. If the numeric parts match it should work. You should have a 44RE transmission, so if the part came out of another 44RE transmission it should fit.

Well i have a problem now. There is a thrust bearing and thrust washer. In between the over drive piston and the over drive clutchs. How do I keep those In place while I am putting the housing back on. they keep wanting to fall out.
