Hi, I've got a 2001 Durango slt. I put the window up normally and then it dropped all the way down and wont even try to go up. It doesn't even sound like the window motor is working. I've replaced the regulator and motor. That fixes it for a year or so and the it happens again. Is there an adjustment. Is the window going up to far and causing this? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Replaced it with what? The cheap $35-40 motor reg combos are crap. The recommended fix is use the original motor, which doesn't usually go bad, and a Dorman reg for $90 or so.

 

JeeperDon, Thanks for the info! The first two times I used dealer parts they last about two years and then fail. this last time I bought one from rock auto that was 35- 40 bucks it seems to work but doesn't really fit right. Why does this keep happening?
