So after the tear down I've found that the Forward and Direct Drive drums have a ton of damage. I want to know if the HARD PARTS in the 44RE the same as the 42RE. I bought a rebuild kit which comes with clutches and steels. I'd like to buy these complete 42re units I'm seeing on ebay and just swap my kits parts out with them I'm just not 100% they are the correct parts. Can anyone tell me what the difference in the 42re and 44re are when it comes to the forward and direct drive.
