Default 99 durango 5.2 v8 trans issues and identification

Having trans issues with my 99 durango wont come out of first once its hot and sometimes when its cold. wondering if anyone has suggestions i have dropped the pan and changed the filter and fluid worked a little bit seeings how it wouldnt move at all last week. and was wondering if anyone could tell me what trans is in it

<shrink>My 'mechaniciky intuition' says this won't be a cheap fix, transmissions rarely are. Looking for quick cheap fixes here is all part of the process though, helps you wrap your head around the eventual need for a thick wallet.</shrink>
