installed a aftermarket radio in my 2000 Durango after using a wiring harness. The radio works, however the overhead lights do not work now. Any help would be appreciated. thanks for your time.

 

thats pretty odd, id say check the fuses and light bulbs to make sure nothing is blown

 

Thanks peterbilt201, I got in a hurry yesterday and overlooked a ido fuse in dash panel. Thanks for your help.

 

I'm having the same issue in my 1998 Durango. Installed an amplifier and it won't power up.... What is an ido fuse???

 

i think its supposed to say IOD or ignition off draw, its basically stuff that needs power even when the key is out of the car, power locks, CTM, dome lights ect.

however the amp not powering up is a different issue, if its the factory amp and you changed the headunit you didnt connect the power on signal wire to the amp properly, if its an aftermarket amp then you can check for such a signal wire, as well as power and ground to the amp (and the associated fuse)
