Default interior swap

i have a guy that has a 2003 dodge durango and he is parting it out, the interior is in excellent condition,

i own a 1998 dodge durango and my interior is in bad shape due to having a bad water leak,

i want to know if the interior is compatible from his 2003 to my 1998 both are 3rd row

I've thought the same thing. Want to swap the interior into my 98 for the nicer features. To be honest, the only feasible way I think it will ever work is to find a newer model with the same engine and literally swap the entire harness, dash, and door panels. I don't know though, I haven't attempted it.

I agree with Psp, and would do a LOT of research first. With a 5 yr difference you could easily run into connectors that don't match, bolt holes that won't align, etc. Even the position of the flat clips holding the panels on might be in slightly different spots.

All of that is valid info there too. Mounting tabs and mounting studs and holes that may be different for the new interior. I will tackle the swap some day. But I'm waiting until my durango is not my daily driver to do so. This will definitely not be a "swap in a weekend" sort of project. Will probably require fabbing up brackets and welding some studs in place and drilling holes and test fitting every single step of the way. So basically, if you don't have an emotional attachment to your 98, sell it and get an 03
