Default Leaving TV cable unclipped

I have been having a shift point problem for a while now and I finally just unconnected the TV cable on my 2001 5.9l Durango. With the TV cable unconnected the vehicle shifts great. Will leaving the cable unconnected cause any long term harm?

I've heard that if it's not adjusted properly it will ruin a transmission on these. So disconnected, i don't know but I would assume that it would do damage.

My first thought... if it was ok to have it disconnected, why is it there? I suspect your disconnecting it is masking the real problem. Mine is connected and shifts fine.

I'm pretty sure you're going to be putting excess wear on the clutch packs since the line pressure isn't going to be getting raised by the tv cable.
