Question RKE Programming Using a DRB-III new CTM about to get installed

Hi all,

So the CTM in my 2001 Durango R/T is having issues (3 honks when I disarm the truck via the fob, which means system sensor was triggered, which is false). I have confirmed this using an official DRB-III emulator and WiTech pod. So I got a replacement CTM. Now from what Don has mentioned in a previous post, everything should work and all I need to do is program my old fob (rke) to the replacement CTM using DRB-III.

Looked in the Factory manual and the process is not shown. So I am wondering if anyone knows how to get this done? I have my old key and 1 remote from the previous owner. On my way now to dealer to get my security code for the truck.

Founds this over at jeeps site. Going to give this a try and report back.

Smile New CTM & Remote Programmed

CTM was going south without a doubt. I was getting an error in the DRB-III. Put the new one in and programmed the remote and now no more 3 alarm chirps when I open the doors.

Just successfully programmed a new remote to the new CTM. The process is slightly different from the Jeep above.

PS Anyone need any wiTech DRB-III work down in North NJ hit PM me. Cheaper rate then going to the dealer and I am mobile.

Unfortunately, not everyone has personal access to a $3,000+ DRB3 tool.

The abs module bleed is one of the commands with the drb-III, so yes.

I am in Morris and Passaic county on a daily basis.

Btw what year is your car?

i may reach out during the off season to get a complete bleed on the brakes on my challenger.

on a side note I grew up in Morris county and still live relatively close to it.

I've got a pile of keys and remotes I need programmed to my truck, too bad I'm all the way in Denver. At least the dealer I called only wants $30 to do it. I assume they meant $30 for all, but if they want $30 each key I'll just do one, since you can easily program more keys and remotes yourself if you have at least 2 already set up.

I live in North NJ and in desperate need of some help I have a 2003 Dodge Durango 4.7L. The CTM module went bad bought a used one everything works now except I cant use my FOB and the security light on the dashboard is lit. Would it be possible for you to reprogram it?
