Unhappy front marker lights up when i apply brakes

i have a 2003 durango, when i apply the brakes the front left marker light brightens up like a brake light. any suggestions on what to look for? i've changed all the bulbs, the vehicle has some aftermarket head lights on it for while and i put stock lights back on. also my flasher is acting weird, the left signal is rapid, i replaced the flasher with a junk yard flasher, it worked for a week but now it's doing the same thing. i pulled out the battery, looked at some of the grounds, cleaned them up, put all back in to no avail,. i've also changed some of the light sockets as they were corroded, any help would be great.

+1 im thinking you have a short somewhere in the system that is allowing the front marker and the brake light to 'cross talk'

time to break out the multimeter and find it.
