just this last winter i picked up the wife a Durango and all was grate - it runs like a top - then this last summer when the days got hot the motor would just stop - if you let it set for a while it would start and run just fine - then it would stop again - any ideas i dont want to just replace the computer - any help would be good she loves the rig i have to get it fixed

Does the dash say "no bus" or anything? If it does that could be the computer. If the tach just freezes and it dies, that's probably the crank position sensor.
