Long story...

1999 Dodge Durango 4wd

My car keys were thrown down the left side of the two center dash board heating vents. I pulled the vent cover off and tried reaching in but it drops off sharply south!

Can anybody tell me where this hole/vent leads to?

Also, how can I retrieve the keys without tearing the car apart?

I'd say this or coat hanger. Could also get one of those cameras that plumbers use

 

How about magnet ON a coat hanger? Bend as desired.

 

I should not ask but gonna anyways, how did you end up losing a set of keys down the vent? Kids?
