New member nees help with a 2000 Durango 5.9 R/T with 122,000 miles. The check engine light was on and the code revealed that the overdrive solenoid was the problem. This was replaced as well as the transducer. The check engine light is still on and the code indicates that there is a shifting sequence problem. The R/T will only go 20 mph and the RPM's jump to 3000 and will not shift. Need help and suggestions

 

Sounds like a govenor or a trans output sensor.

 

I had the same exact problem on my 00 R/T. Your governor actuator switches are shot. When mine went out, check engine light came on, and won't shift beyond 2nd gear. I had to limp it back to dealer and fixed it under warranty.
