Default P0700 code

Hello! Last month my power steering reservoir had a leak. At about the same time I realized my power steering was not working my check engine light came on. The next day I called a local shop as I had just had the power steering leak fixed and made an appointment for the next day. That night the check engine light went off so I did not mention it to them. On Sunday my check engine light came on again and I had my brother check the code yesterday. He stated it was P0700 and that I could still drive my vehicle. Yesterday afternoon it went off again and has not come back on. I have a 2001 Dodge Durango, 4.7L. Can someone explain in laymans terms what this error code indicates and if I should get it checked out?

Thanks!
