Default Not the normal trans issue....

OK, I've literally spent weeks researching and trying new things which have helped some aspects, but hurt others. I have a 98 5.2 Durango. Got it on a trade, was going to resell it and decided to have some fun first. First time dodge owner.... I prefer a Ford. I recently had pulled off the throttle body on the 5.2, I did so to do one of those "kegger" style intake mods out of pure "what the hell, hold my beer" boredom. As I reinstalled everything I realized I have never had to mess with a TV cable on any vehicle, so I did countless hours of researching, trial and error, back and forth auto store trips. I've gone from awesome shifts to crap, back to nice passing gear but skips and slips. Crazy isn't even a word dodge can use to explain frustration, more like take this 25lb sledge and test true strength of engine block. Anyways, during my several days of adjusting and testing, I realized when I get the truck to shift nicely under light load of throttle, the actual throttle body butterfly valve will not... Go passed 5/8 to 3/4 open. It's strange. If I adjust shift cable so my throttle will fully hit wot, the truck will do as stated under every forum I found.... Stay in gear forever. So my understanding on cable is small adjustments at a time, little by little, one way. Then if needed go the other way till your satisfied and truck is happy as well, cause let's face it, we may like fire shooting from open headers but the truck doesn't. I can't seem to find any binding in cable, the transmission side of cable is nice and clean, it moves freely, springs back without any jerking or slow movement. My throttle cable itself has a 1/8" of slack in it so I know it's not part of the issue. I just don't get it. From appearance, the TV cable ends look good, cable sliders is in good shape, adjustment mechanism is fine. And I do know originally, before I ever had to adjust it, my throttle did open fully, prior to all this I had cleaned the body just with carb cleaner and light scrubbing so I held it open with my fingers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I have it set right now at normal smooth shifts, but I will not at all drop gears when stomped down. I am a burnout guy, my street is covered in what I call awesome times and neighbors call a money waster, I've tested this truck to its limits and right now... It probably wouldn't spin bald tires on ice
