I bought a 98 durango and the fan blower doesnt work, windows wont go down, rear defroster and wiper dont work, and cigarette lighter doesnt work. I replaced the drivers side switch for the windows and still nothing. Im lost
I have checked the fuses under the hood, all seem fine, inside the fuse box by the door, all seem fine, but under the steering column I dont know what is supposed to be there and what isn't. I also have 3 black fuses taped to wires under the steering column but some wires are cut.
That taped block is obviously not stock, which is what happens in a (I assume) multi-owner 20 yr old vehicle. Unfortunately, all anyone here can really do is advise you on things for a stock unaltered vehicle. I doubt all your issues are related, like one magic wire fix will make the rear wiper and windows and blower work. You'll just slowly have to dig though things, try to understand what those extra fuses/relays do. Could be an old remote-start?
Yes I assumed that it wasnt stock, but trying to get it back to stock. Its terribly hot inside with no working windows or fan blower. I cannot finds any info on the fuses that are under the steering column. If I could figure that out that would help.
