Default Trans fluid quantity

How much fluid do I need for a fluid and filter change? I'm new to the Durango's so not sure which trans I have.
2003 Durango SLT 4X4, 4.7. Approximately 215,000 miles. It"s been running fine and now all of a sudden , it started slipping just once. Seems to shift ok as I'm driving it.
Thanks for any info

You've probably got the 545RFE. You can generate a build sheet here to be sure.... https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...ur-dakota.html

A single drain and fill will need six quarts of ATF+4. I use Supertech from Wally World.

the 4.7 (in these trucks) only came with the 45 or 545rfe, they are mechanically identical including fluid capacity. so 6qts should do it for you.

And just in case he doesn't know (I don't either with the 5/45rfe), does he need to check the fluid level in neutral like with the 44re?
