Default 2003 dodge durango stalls

My 2003 Durango RT has stalled out a couple of times while driving. We were driving and the car just cut off. after about 30 minutes we were able to start it back up and it lasted two days and then again while driving it stalled again. when trying to restart it the first time the engine would crank but wouldnt turn over. After a few tries it seemed as though it was going to start but then would die almost immediatley. After sitting for 15 minutes more it started right up and ran for two days. It stalled and wasnt able to get it started after that. I did get it to start the next day but would not stay satrted for very long. Any ideas were I should start looking for the problem?

What engine? How many miles? Last tune up? Had it scanned for codes? The more information you provide, the easier it is for someone to help as opposed to having to ask you a bunch of questions.

Sounds like a fuel pump issue, but diagnose it before replacing it.

Okay so an update on the 2003 Dodge Durango I just got back from getting the codes read and here is the verdict:

P1287
P0302
P0420
P0455
P0138

Im not sure what all this means so if someone can point me in the direction I should go I would greatly appreciate it. As of right now the car is in the Jewel parking lot and it wont start again. At first it just cranked and after 20 minutes tried to start again and now I smell a strong oder of gas and it is trying to start but sputters out immediatly after letting off the key. Im beggining to think it is a fuel problem why do I smell gas I was not pumping the pedal. I will try to go back later and start it and hopefully it starts so I can get it back to the house.

this is where i would start, not sure which applies to the p1287, but since all of the gen1 trucks had cable throttles i would imagine is the fuel injector voltage one, which would likely be a connection somewhere (i really am not sure where without having the vehicle in front of me) None of the other codes should stop the vehicle from starting.
