Default 1998 dodge durango 5.2 liter ABS rear only.

New member with a question about
Rear wheel abs module and brake line connections. At 40 mph the ABS LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT APPEAR. resets after engine shut down. Fuses all work. Is there a circut board between the 2 pistons of the abs manifold ? Can I read abs codes by counting the flash codes? I have had parts stores read codes with there machines with the D. Running ,codes on. also not started. both times no codes? Can I unhook the rear abs wire harness located on top of the differential? drive the vehicle to test if its the cause??? or Will it cause damage or more so work. Or resistance test the sensor? I saw a utube video about brake light switch failure over 40mph causing abs and parking brake lights to come on. my brake lights work fine as does my speedometer ? I hope this make sense please advise?? Thank you very much for your time and patience 🐙

If my speedometer is working can the abs sensor still be causing abs and parking brake light to come on right at 40mph?

I believe the sensor on top of the rear diff also provides signal for the speedo.... disconnecting it won't break anything, but, real possibility the trans won't shift, and some interesting codes will get set.

No way to read ABS codes without a scanner that I am aware of.

Having a scanner that can read ABS issues plugged in while the problem presents itself might get you the code..... Of course, the system *should* remember what it was whining about.
