Default Looking for part number

Hi all,

In the midst of rebuilding my 2000 Durango with the 4.7L engine, I see that the heater hose from the timing cover that transitions from rubber to metal has a crack. Does anyone have the part number of those hoses? I don't really want to use "Pick-N-Pull" hoses if I'm this deep into the project;

Thanks,

Steve

If you mean those below... When mine leaked, I bought a roll of heater hose from Advance. I cut off the metal collars and pushed on the new heater hose back to the tubing, securing with worm clamps. With the clamps on, they won't fit in the plastic bracket but you can just zip tie it on.

Just so I'm on the same page, you cut the hose and fitting off below (or at the junction of) the metal cross over tubes and secured with the worm drive clamps, correct?

Strange I cannot find the whole tube online...looks like I will going with your suggestion thanks

Using a cutting wheel on an angle grinder, I cut off the outer metal collar, which serves as a hose clamp. It was replaced with a worm clamp, once I got the new hose on. I did not cut the tube inserted into the hose. Does that clarify for you?

Auto parts stores sell the 5/8 heater hose in like a 3 or 6 ft roll. It does not come with the molded bends of the OEM hose, so make sure you do not kink the new hose. https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...58bg/5190010-P

Perfect, thank you. Just don't want to mis-interpert something and mess it up...doing it 2x would suck lol.

Don't know if you noticed the reason I got new hoses in the last pic. Look at the hose on the left (the one without the yellow arrow) and you'll see that coolant was pooling at the top.

I see that now...was hard to see on my phone. When I pulled mine off, there were "splits" in the hoses..might be why I kept loosing coolant and smelling it without being able to find it...thanks again for the clarification
