98 Durango Thermostat bolts! HELP

Default 98 Durango Thermostat bolts! HELP

Broke thermostat housing bolt... drilled it out and when putting new screw in I heard a thud! The hole where the screw goes into Broke! What to do now?!?

Ugh! Thats what i was afraid of hearing! Someone told me that I could put a bigger size bolt in it and put a washer as well as a nut on it an it will be ok? I don't believe that sounded right though because how would you get a nut in the bottom where the housing 4 the nut would be? Like it's broke in half.. Idk technical names but I doubt that would even work and if it did for how long would this kind of rigging...

Could you post a pic of the problem area? Did the thermostat housing break? Or the spot on the manifold the bolt goes thru?
