Default a/c refrigerant

how many ounces of 134a does my 2003 durango R/T 5.9 with duel heating /air condtioning require ?

Depends on how much is in it now. Does it work at all? Has the system been opened? Should be a label under the hood that tells you how much the entire system holds, and how much oil it should get as well.

its completely empty the sticker on the front is gone
simple question how much 134a refrigerant does it hold need to know how many cans to buy

This is off a 2002 4.7, but i dont see why the a/c system would be drastically different.


Keep in mind if the system was opened you need to vaccum it down and make sure it holds a vacuum before recharging it if you want it to work as designed, not usually a DIY job (unless you happen to have access to a pretty strong vacuum pump)

A new filter drier is a good idea if it's been exposed to air for this long too.
