Trans Temp Light on and off
I have an 03 Dodge Durango 4x4 5.9L R/T and when I start the truck in the morning I can drive maybe 4 or 5 blocks and the Trans Temp light will light on the dash and just a moment later goes off. It will kick the check engine light on also. I check the code and the only thing on the computer is P1763. The engine has not even gotten warmed up yet and this light is coming on for just a moment. I have checked the code and looks like I have a governor sensor and solenoid I need to replace. Will this also take care of the Trans Temp light from coming on? This light only flashes on once in the morning usually and just that one time during the day. For that moment the trans will come out of over drive and reve the engine and when the light goes out the rpms go back to normal. No other lights on the dash come on while this happens.

Temp sensor is part of the pressure sensor in the trans. If you are getting a code for over-voltage, that would also explain the temp lite flickering. Could be a failed sensor, or a wiring issue somewhere. (intermittent short.) If it's the latter, it's going to be at one of the connectors. If it's just a bad sensor, replace the governor pressure solenoid as well, with the borg warner heavy duty set.
