Default Help! Suspension?!?!

I recently acquired a 2000 Dodge Durango SLT four-wheel-drive. I had almost everything replaced in the front end. Upper and lower control arms and ball joints. Shocks, tie rod ends, rack and pinion. When I installed the new bump stops and leveled out the front end, the bump stops are riding on the control arm. I know I need space between for the shocks to do their job and to get a smooth ride. I watched the video on YouTube on how to properly adjust the torsion bars to get the proper ride height. When I use those calculations the vehicle rides even lower?!?! Dodge calls for 2.9” delta, but my rig requires 1.875” just to get the pump stops off the control arm. Help!!! I’m going looney tunes!

If you are doing this exactly by the book, it's really difficult.
I had to really work to return to the 'exact unmarked center' of the hub cap and the bolt.
If you are sure you are assembled correctly, give the 'bump stop' 3/8 or 1/2 clearance, adjust a bit for level, and let it go.
I think the 'precision' of the spec is way beyond the repeatability of the measurement.
