This is just an FYI in case someone else runs into the same problem I did, hopefully I'll save you a lot cussing and screaming. I recently decided to rebuild the hinge on my drivers side door, the plastic bushing were shot and it was sagging a little. I looked up a replacement/rebuild kit and Dorman lists it as 38403, much to my dismay after removing the door and hinges and cutting off the pin on one hinge I found out this is not the correct replacement part. Unfortunately every parts store lists this as the correct part. I found after a lot of digging and measuring the pins on my hinges that the correct PN is 38481, this corresponds with older Dakotas and for some reason 04 and up Durango's. I'm not sure if maybe mine was a one off or not but I would check your pins before purchasing any replacement kits.

 

Just grab a few hinges from the junkyard instead of trying to rebuild.
